When Jacqueline Carlyle appears in the series for the first time she marks her presence in a male dominant board room. In that moment I knew she will not be afraid to speak her mind, will change things for good, lead by example and is definitely a woman to look up to.

“Here’s the next great mascara to give you bigger eyes to see the world. Here’s a fabulous pair of jeans. Now go climb a mountain.”

When she said these words at Scarlet’s 60 year party, she sparks that fire in every viewer that we are girls and we are proud of that. Now it’s time to conquer the world. At different times in different ways she reminds us to be ourselves, embrace it and prove whoever says otherwise wrong.

She is a true problem solver whether it is a writer’s block or a personal issue. Anyone can get relieved just by having a conversation with her that is her charm. She brings people to ease and guides them, letting them finding a solution for their despair.

“I expect you to make mistakes and make amends, take a leap and make a splash. And I expect you to unleash holy hell on anyone who tries to hold you back..”

She is the kind of boss who doesn’t expect you to limit yourself in predetermined boundaries. Rather she motivates to challenge yourself and experiment with life. She believes in learning by your mistakes. And even when her employees make mistakes she always got their back. She reminds that if anyone is stopping you from reaching your true potential, you should not be afraid to speak up to them, defend yourself and never let anyone else stop you.

She is never afraid of challenging what is wrong and standing with right. Whether it is about publishing article calling Safford for its policies or changing the whole draft 17 hours before publishing to set a true example. It is her fearlessness that runs through Scarlet and gives everyone who work there the courage to speak for what’s right.

She is setting a true example for younger generation to see what real leadership looks like. It’s about being kind, having an integrity, standing against wrong and having the courage to speak about it. A leader doesn’t need to be ruthless but they can be open and nice.

Jacqueline is a super strong character who is a perfect combination of intimidating and motivating. We all need a Jacqueline in our lives who pushes us to be the best version of ourselves but on the same time makes sure of our mental peace. Someone who always leads by example and shows everyone it is okay to be nice.
